SUSTAINABLE FASHION THESIS

Through Kendall College of Art and Design, I was able to complete my Master of Arts in Design degree and made the decision to focus my thesis on sustainability in fashion, specifically to relaunch my small business Ocean Eye Co. with a new business model, keeping sustainability top of mind. Through my research I focused on the impact the fashion industry has on our planet and how crucial it is to make a change. Although their are ways companies and individuals alike can take to minimize textile waste and help combat these issues, we are still far from stopping the waste. In order to create the road to a greener future, I've learned that companies must find ways to become as ciruclar as possible within their business model, creating a never ending cycle for the materials used in their products. For my thesis, I have written and designed a thirty page document, successfully created a new business model, planned to launch in the summer of 2024, and designed multiple assets for the annual student exhibition.
